What a great start to the season for the Mules!  They are 3-0 for the first time since 2003 thanks to a big road win at Truman State.  Fans, this Mules team has a chance to have a real special season.  It all starts on defense; the UCM defensive line controlled the offensive line of Truman.  Truman had no chance at a running game, gaining only three yards on 21 carries. The mules line is just too tough.  This defense is fast and physical.  Offensively the Mules did what they had to do, run big Glenn Milner and use the short passing attack to keep the Bulldogs off balance.

The thing that impresses me about this Central Missouri team is that they play with confidence.  Truman made a late run at the Mules on Saturday night, but UCM hung tough and kept fighting.  They were not going to be denied in that game.  If the Mules can stay healthy and take care of business at home, including this week against Washburn, then the sky is the limit for this team.

Make your plans now to be at the game this Saturday as the Mules take on the Washburn Ichabods. This is a big game for both teams and the Mules need to have a home field advantage.  Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.  Airtime is 12:10 on the Central Missouri Sports Radio Network.
