When
did you start playing football? What about it made you start?
I started in the 7th grade. My parents asked me if I wanted to try
out for football and I said yes.
What was your favorite play or memory of your high school career?
We were playing a team that was projected to beat us, but we came
out and beat them, shattering their playoff hopes. I scored all
three of our TDs in the win, and my coach carried me on his
shoulders. It was a HUGE win.
What made you decide to come play football for Central?
I came on a visit and everybody pretty much welcomed me here. I
liked the style of play. The colors and the facility, as well as
some other things were involved in my final decision.
What is it like being so far away from your family back in
Washington?
It's alright sometimes being on my own, but I still miss them
knowing that I rarely get to see them.
What is the best thing about playing at Central?
Just being able to bond with a bunch of guys from different
backgrounds and make new friends. Then on Saturday’s, doing what we
love and that is playing football.
What is your daily schedule like?
My life is pretty much school and football. Wake up. Hit the
classroom. Hit the gridiron. Hit the books. Then do it all over
again the next day! It’s harder because you have to manage between
football and school and personal life.
What is your favorite play or memory at Central?
I guess I would have to say this year in the second game of the
season when I tied the school record for touchdowns in a single
game. I actually didn’t know I had tied it till they took me out of
the game.
How do you handle the pressure being one of the offensive stars
on the team?
Just make sure that I take every play one play at a time. And come
to games ready to bring my "A" game.
What gets you fired up before games?
I’m going to be honest, I actually like to think about myself doing
plays and visualize myself making plays. When I think about the
things I can do in a game, that’s what gets me real pumped and
excited to go do the things I have visualized.
What would we find on your iPod?
A mixture of different types of music, from R&B to West coast Rap
and lots of E-40!
What is your personal goal for the year, or beyond?
My personal goal is to do whatever it takes to make the playoffs,
and win a championship, and hopefully play at the next level,
What do you plan to do after graduation?
Hopefully fulfill my ultimate goal, which is to play at the next
level or whatever God has in store for me.
