
A Visit With The Head Coach
Central Missouri has started
spring practice, and on April 11th, head coach Willie Fritz sat down
with David Lee from KDKD Radio in Clinton to chat about the state of the Mules.

13 Players Commit To Central Missouri
The University of Central Missouri announced theri 2009 football signings on February 4th. With the Mules losing a sparse amount of players off
of their 2008 squad, head coach Willie Fritz was able to mine the junior colleges for impact transfers. Of the 13 recruits, eight will arrive in
Warrensburg via the transfer route.
Headlining the list is Warrensburg-area standout Dennis Hutchings, a running back from nearby Holden. The other ball-carrier coming to UCM has famous bloodlines.
Tavares Rhodes will be transferring from Feather River C.C. (Calif.). His older brother in Indianapolis Colts RB Dominic Rhodes.

UCM Sets 2009 Schedule
The Central Missouri Mules recently announced their schedule for the 2009 season. The season will open with two non-conference games with former MIAA members.
On August 27th, UCM will host Southwest Baptist. Seven days later, Missouri S & T (formerly Missouri-Rolla) will return to Warrnesburg. Both games are Thursday
nights contests that will kickoff at 7 p.m.
In all, UCM will have six of their 11 games in the friendly confines of Walton Stadium. Homecoming weekend is October 9-11, with the Mules hosting the Tigers of
Fort Hays St. on October 10th at 1:30 p.m. Other MIAA opponents coming to Warrnesburg in 2009 are Missouri Southern, Truman St. and Pittsburg St.

Mules TE Cosby Gains All-American Honor
Central Missouri Mules sophomore tight end DeMarco Cosby has been named a
2008 Don Hansen’s Football Gazette honorable mention All-American.
He was the first All-American selection for the Mules in the 2008 season.
Cosby, who had 623 yards receiving and five touchdowns, set a school record for yards by a tight end in a season. He was also a first-team
All-MIAA and first-team all-region selection.
The Kansas City, Mo. native is a graduate of Lincoln Prep High School.
